Field Trip: Macy's Shoe Department
I love shoe shopping. Maybe that last statement was not properly digested by your eyes. I LOVE SHOE SHOPPING! It literally feeds my soul. When I am robbed of said experience, I become irritable, slightly agitated and a little melancholic. For all the big feet beauties that are not able to go on your shoe shopping excursion with excitement, I understand your pain, too. It's not easy being in a sea of beautiful shoe that do not fit your needs nor personality. The follow photos illustrate my experience while at Macy's in downtown Brooklyn.
Very excited about a nude work pump, but they didn't have my size.
That face you make when you find out the shoe you want doesn't come in your size.
Putting on my big girl undies, I kept it moving. I found that there were other shoes that did fit me, kind of. Take a look. The white shoe is a from Nine West.
I've been on the look out for nude sandals for about three years or so. It's been tortuous. But, I found some. There by Macy's in-house brand I.N.C., very cute and comfortable. No heel pinching ;-)
I truly think that all women shoe have the shoe shopping experience. There were other customers there supporting my bad habit. Informing me of how cute the shoe were and even asked my opinion on their shoe selection. There's no way you can receive that kind of community embrace when you purchase shoe online. In essence, women are missing out on sisterhood. This may seem a bit far-fetched, but hear me out. The adrenaline that jolted through my body that surge from my feet was nothing short or endorphins. Couple those feelings with positivity and sisterhood influence and the store has a sale!
Calvin Klein you are King!
This mule shoe will definitely be considered in an upcoming shoe design of my own. Calvin Klein nicked it when he chose the color palate for them. Love, love, love them!
But, since I couldn't fit them. While shopping, I made friends--I'm sorry, but I don't recall her name-- with a shoe shopping sorror. She allowed me to use her feet as demonstration. Her shoe size is 7.
I died.
Now, take a look at my Cinderella stepsister moment...
Haha! Fun Times!
